IIEA elects new officers for 2012Elections for the 2012 Officers and Board of Directors for the Idaho Irrigation Equipment Association were held recently in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Bill Rawlings, BD Sales & Supply, Preston, will serve as president; Kent Kidd, Valmont Industries, Declo, got the nod as vice president and Ron Sessler, Dykman Electrical, Boise, was elected as treasurer. Three board members were elected to two-year terms: Quentin Nesbitt, Idaho Power Co., Boise; Fred Butler, Agri-Lines Irrigation, Parma and Roger Yasuda, Clearwater Supply, Ontario, Oregon. Dana Duffin, The Sprinkler Shop, Paul; and Derick Attebury, Rain For Rent, Idaho Falls have one more year on their terms. Marty Pettingill, Golden West Irrigation will serve a one-year term. Tad Barrie, Butte Irrigation, Paul, will serve as past president. The following members will serve as committee chairs for association activities this year: Education Chair: Howard Neibling, University of Idaho, Kimberly; Scholarship Chair: Dirk Leavitt, Valmont Industries, American Falls; Ag Membership Chair: Bob Hand, Nelson Irrigation, Walla Walla, Wash.; The chairmen for the 2013 Idaho Irrigation Equipment Show and Conference in Nampa will be Turf Chairman: Loni Monson, Pipeco, Inc., Nampa and Dave Young, Cornell Pump, Meridian. Tondee Clark, Boise, has begun her 16th year as secretary. The IIEA was established in 1971 and membership consists of more than 115 separate entities including wholesale suppliers, retail dealers, equipment manufacturers, public utilities and educational institutions engaged in serving Idaho’s agricultural and landscape irrigation equipment needs. |
